New Room

After my moldy problem my boyfriend found a new place for me to move into. Yey, I escaped from mold and didn't die! So I guess its finally about time to show of my new beautiful, almost mold free room.Yes, I did just discover some mold in my new room also, I think I'm under a mold curse. But thank god its very little, so I think it will be no problem to remove.

My new room cost the same as my last place. Biggest difference is that this is not a livingtel, which is one small room with bathroom inside. I now live in a hasukjib, got my own room, share bathroom with 2 other females on my floor, and I get two free home cooked meals a day in the livingroom in the floor downstairs. So getting two meals a day for same price is a quite nice deal for me when I'm a poor foreign student. It's breakfast and dinner. But I never go for breakfast because A) Im lazy, and B)I would reather sleep longer and do my makeup than eating downstairs. But I do eat dinner there.
I can come and eat dinner whenever I want to around dinnertime, I always go there around 6 to eat. But its some awkward because I'm always the only one who goes downstairs to eat around that time, so It's me alone with the older female running this place. And when my korean is not really professional, and she can't speak english either, we can't really speak with each other as much as we want too. But except from that small problem, the food is great and she is super kind. No complains at all.

And now for the photoes of what a hasukjib looks like:

My bed. Lot bigger than my older bed! I got the bed from my boyfriend, and my chair also, and the mirror. He actually lived in the floor downstairs, but moved out after a week after I moved into this place. So thats why I got his stuff.

And my desk area, and you can also see where I hang my clothes. Notice the big window, Before I had no window big enough to even look outside. My room actually looks smaller in this picture than in real life. And I have also change the order of the things in my room. Now I got a second white desk beside mine, for my boyfriend to come and study at together with me.

What a normal dinner here looks like. Mostly some soup with meat, potatoes etc. And ofcourse rice and alot of side dished.

The outside area of my place. This is street with different stores or eating places, maybe 5 minutes from my place.

Right outside the buildning where I live. A long hill where I walk down to get to super markets or eating places if I fancy something different than what I get here.

And this buildning is my home! Very quiet area. Perfect for me who loves sleeping and easilly wakes up by even small sounds.

Thats my new place. Would reccomand everyone to find a hasukjib if wanting homecooked meals everyday for a cheap price. Could be hard to find when most hasukjibs don't have any webpage etc when most owners are older females with the sane age of your grandma. But hasukjibs are mostly easilly seen at most university areas at almost at every corner. Just look for a sign that say 하숙집, and there you have it.But bring a korean friend if you are looking, they mostly don't speak english, so would be very useful!!

Looks better than my old one right? :)
